New Dynasty is a decent Americanized Chinese restaurant. If it's anywhere else, I would give this place a 2 stars. However, since there's very little competition for good Chinese food in DC, I'd give it a 3 stars.Indonesian Fried Rice ($8) - It's pretty good, probably the best thing I've had from this place. It's definitely not authentic but the beef's nicely flavored & I like the fried onion on top.Borneo Fried Rice ($8) - I really don't like this one. There's too much carrot in there & it's lacking in flavor. There're also bunch of lunch specials ranging from 6 - 8 bucks (including a spring roll), which's cheap for DC food. The portion's above average, which's a plus. I'm not a fan of their Orange Chicken. There's too much batter, flour & not enough meat. The sauce's just decent too.Overall - The place's quite small & cramped. The food's Americanized but acceptable for DC's Chinese food standard. I would only go here for their lunch specials because I wouldn't want to pay $10+ for these dishes. I'd recommend getting the Indonesian Fried Rice; best thing from there so far.

We were staying nearby and had a fix for Chinese food so decided to give this place a try.Had the chicken corn soup which had a significant amount of corn flour as the soup was like glue. We then has the thai noodles which were in a wet sauce. The place had a home cooked taste to the food, which if that is what you are looking for then this is a place for you.

Ice eaten from this restaurant several times because it is right across the street. If I were not completely lazy by nature, and willing to settle for subpar Chinese food rather than walk a few blocks, I would go to Meiwah at 21st and M St.I tend to judge a Chinese restaurant by the quality of its General Tsos chicken and it's Kung Pao chicken. Neither is anything special. It's general Tsos is too gooey, and the chicken is not crispy enough, and if there was any broccoli at all I don't remember it being there.Unless it's freezing out and you don't want to deal with things, please go somewhere else. Trust me.

Good news: They give you a lot of food, like 1.5 lbs, for $7. I ordered the General Tso's ChickenBad news: Most of what they give you isn't chicken. It ain't meat. It ain't even fry batter. It's some sort of food filler substance that's in between meat and batter.Good news: You won't eat all 1.5 lbs and get fatter because the food is disgusting. You win!

The chicken vermicelli noodle soup wasn't what I expected; it was yummy! I thought it'd only be chicken and rice noodles, but it had onions, celery, carrots, and bean sprouts. They separated the soup from the noodles, so I had two separate containers, which I appreciate. I don't like my noodles all soggy and having soaked up all the soup. I placed my order online and asked for hot sauce as well. I actually got it! The other places I request it, but they never include it with my order.I'm a fan of hot & sour soup of all sorts. They didn't let me down! Peppery taste, not too much vinegar. It also had a good amount of tofu, bamboo shoots, etc.I work a block and two streets over from the White House. The cops had apparently blocked off my street. The delivery guy ended up parking at the monument and walked my order over to my work. I had tipped over 20%, but I felt bad when I found out he walked my order over.

Your typical cheap American-Chinese restaurant. When I need a fix of Sweet and Sour Chicken or General Tso's, this is my go-to spot. Portions are generous enough, the owners are friendly, and while it lacks ambience, it does what it sets out to do.It's nice to have this kind of family-run business in the yuppie haven that is DuPont.

This is my go-to for cheap, delicious chinese food. The hot and sour soup is great, as is their Kung Po chicken. Pretty fast deliver as well!
